There are literally hundreds of thousands of books that have been written on the topic of investing. While some of these books are great, there are just as many that are complete rubbish. To help you expand your knowledge and better understand the ins and outs of investing, I have put together a list of 6 wall street books every trader, and future trader, should take the time to read.

The Warren Buffet Way

Warren Buffet is one of the richest men in the world and he did all through investments. In The Warren Buffet Way, Robert Hagstrom shares valuable insight about the methods Warren Buffet used to make his fortune. If you take the time to learn these methods, they may yield some nice rewards in the future.

Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom

When it comes to learning how to invest this book is a gem. In it, Van Tharp breaks down both system construction and investor psychology. This book will provide you with the basic foundation for setting up a winning system. No matter what level investor you are, there is something you can take from this book.

The Right Stock at the Right Time

If you have been battered by bear markets, this book may be just what you need. In The Right Stock at the Right Time you will be exposed to the many observations of Larry Williams. He will be sharing with you some of the things he has learned about cyclical tendencies in the stock market.

Market Wizards

This book is basically a collection of interviews that were done in the 1970’s and 1980’s. In the interviews, several successful investors share their experiences as well as what made them successful investors. For many it was simply being in the right place at the right time that lead to their success.

The 1970’s was a commodity bull market and many of the investors in this book were able to profit from it. This book is considered a classic and is a must read. The author is Jack Schwager.

Alchemy of Finance

The Alchemy of Finance was written by George Soros. In it you will learn how he looks at reflexivity and how he feels it relates to the market. This is not a book that will provide a direct trading system. Instead you will get a deep insight into how he feels the markets work. I will be honest with you, this book is a bit dense. However, if you can manage to finish it, it will prove to be very rewarding.

The Age of Turbulence

This book was written by the former chairman of the Federal Reserve of The United States of America, Alan Greenspan. In it he shares a very interesting narrative of what he has seen take place in the US economy over the last 50 years. In the second half of the book he shares some of his own thoughts about the world economy and what he sees happening in the future.
