The Yorkshire Dales are located around 20 miles from the edge of the city, 65% of which is covered with beautiful green belt. The M1 motorway feeds commuter traffic to the city along with other excellent road networks such as the M62 and the M621 inner city ring road. In more recent times, the city has also established itself as one of the top academic cities in Britain with over 5 University campuses, of which the largest and Leeds University, and Leeds Metropolitan University – feeding the highly competitive yet exciting city centre jobs and growth.

The city offers many attractions, some of the most famous being the Headingley Cricket Stadium as well as the cultural museums of the city centre. The City Museum and Art Museum are free to browse. The Royal Armories museum is located near a newer housing development named Clarence Dock – a regenerated dockland area now popular with students and young professionals.
